The scenario we see so often is people
hurt themselves playing sport, go to the GP or hospital and come out with crutches and told to rest. Sometimes they are given an Xray.
What this scenario does not do is:
A: Give the person a diagnosis of what injury has occurred.
B: Give treatment to actually repair damage.
C: Rehabilitate the ankle to assist the person to continue with their chosen activities.
When you get an ankle injury you RICE: Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation, then you call and make an appointment with one of our experienced Podiatrists. We can help with pain, recovery and long term effects on your ankle health.
If you have an old ankle injury there are still treatment options available to you.
A properly rehabilitated ankle should not require taping or bracing to play sport. Our rehab program was written in conjunction with a current AFL rehab coach. If it is good enough for the AFL it is good enough for you.
We are providing free Trainers Information Nights in March which are open to any sporting club to assist with dealing with Ankle Injuries. These nights are very popular and numbers are restricted. We do hands on demonstrations and training with ankle taping techniques.
